CNC Machining

FB-AVAK offers the latest in CNC machining technology. Our facility houses four 5-axis custom CNC machining. Each device is linked to our Mastercam CAD/CAM system, which enables us to programme our customers’ required trim detail directly from CAD data for uninterrupted production.

Alternate Methods of Data Extraction

Even if CAD data is not supplied, we at FB-AVAK can still create a five axis toolpath with our Microscribe arm. The arm is linked to our Mastercam system, and via this route, we are able to capture the data needed to create a complex tool path that under different circumstances would be difficult to programme. This process comes especially in handy for inherited parts not previously trimmed via CAD.

In addition to our ability to machine components, we can also cut prototype and full production tools on our CNC prototype machining directly from the CAD files our customers provide.

Manufacturing and Modelling

Our CAD/CAM linked CNC machines allow us to not only manufacture required parts quickly, but also model our customers prototype design concepts in the short lead times that today’s industries demand. We offer a number of tooling products for a wide range of production requirements.

All of our 5 axis CNC machines have a 1.0m x 1.0 to 1.5m x 1.0m capacity, allowing complex shapes to be machined accurately time and again.

Assembly

Our vacuum forming service does not stop at moulding and trimming. At FB-AVAK some of the products we manufacture will require finishing and assembly and we have a broad range of processes available.

Prototyping & Production

The key to a successful moulding is good product design with vacuum forming capabilities designed in at an early stage, so the earlier we can become involved the more streamlined the process will be.
